Saginaw's Shaheen Family Receives Governor's Award For Philanthropy

The Shaheen family was selected as the 2016 recipient for the Community Philanthropy Award.

The award is presented by the Council of Michigan Foundations, the Michigan Nonprofit Association and the governor's office.

The Governor's Service Awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m.

at the Temple Theatre in downtown Saginaw.

The family's involvement reaches into many other parts of the community, ranging from its art museum and symphony to its children's museum.
